Hello! My name is Mridul. I am a professional Hindi, Punjabi and English teacher. For the past 3 years I have been teaching students both on Skype and in person. I received my Bachelor’s from the University of Bikaner and my Teaching certification from SD Bihani PG College. Aside from teaching English, Hindi and Punjabi, I like: rock climbing, cooking, board games,meditation/mindfulness practice, and learning about sustainable living and Buddhist philosophy.
Me as a Teacher
I personalize a lesson as much as possible. My style is based on patience and instructional scaffolding, just as I would do in my classes in a primary or high school, so learners of all abilities always have a chance to improve as we gradually and methodically develop your vocabulary, comprehension, pronunciation, and grammar skills, as well as your abilities in reading, writing, and listening. At the same time, I am also highly adaptable and flexible as a teacher.
My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered, which is why I provide a trial session to find out what you want to learn and how you want to grow. My goal as a teacher is to use different sources--music, movies, simple conversation--to make sure that you become a fluent English, Hindi and Punjabi speaker.
My courses are designed so that you progress quickly and accurately using a range of techniques and methodologies.

Excellent as usual. Today we focused mainly on conversation. We tried building as many complex sentences as much as possible. Mridul is a great teacher. He has been very very helpful for learning both Punjabi and Hindi. Thanks again, sir.

Great first trial lesson. Friendly tutor. Comprehensive material and learned a lot more than I thought in the time.
Will be booking more lessons.

Awesome teacher with a great personality and method. For me, he has a great balance of structured Powerpoints and worksheet-style exercises with free-flowing conversation (even in the early stages.) I have been working with him for about a month now and am very happy with my progress so far.
He is also great about assigning constructive homework that feeds directly into lessons.

He offers an awesome, super structured class environment that is extremely conductive to learning. After just one lesson with his Fast Track fluency, my confidence in the language has literally doubled. It is very reminiscent of the fast-track Spanish lessons I took last year.

I highly recommend working with this teacher! I started studying Hindi 3 months ago and I’m so happy with the progress I have made after 18 lessons with him. He’s very professional and also very funny. I’ve laughed in every single one of our lessons together. He is definitely motivating – if I go more than a few days with out a lesson, I notice that my motivation drops off. But after my lessons, I’m motivated to increase my vocabulary and grammar knowledge in order to be able to express myself better. Sometimes we cover a specific grammar point or a topic in a structured lesson, and other times we speak the entire time to work on solidifying the grammar and vocabulary I already know.
Today I was able to easily summarize a Bollywood film I watched, and I was also able to talk about the situation between Ukraine and Russia with help. Not bad for a beginner! I’m excited to keep working with this teacher.
