Somaia

Well prepared, professional and supportive. Somaia had a number of teaching materials at hand and was patient and encouraging as I struggled through reading and pronouncing a number of Arabic words initially. I am happy with the trial lesson and I am seriously considering taking further lessons from her.

Somaia is the perfect teacher for my style of learning. She is patient and kind and has years of experience teaching Arabic as a professional teacher. I was referred to her through a friend who is a teacher and I am so happy that he shared his insight. She offers structure, additional resources, and familiarity with common sources like Al-Kitaab. I look forward to leaning with Ms. Somaia.

Somaia speaks the right mix of Arabic and English for me as Mid Intermediate student. She can answer my translation questions, but we spoke 95% of the time in Arabic. She accommodated my tie-in's from my self-directed studies, while also providing a structured lesson to support my goals in colloquial dialogue.

Somaia is very patient. I have started reading and I am very slow at it. She is supportive and doesn't rush me. I appreciate that a lot!

Somaia is a great teacher who can customize lessons to your needs. She can teach MSA and Egyptian dialect. I know my production and reading of the language have improved a fair bit since beginning with her.

This was my first class and Somaia did a great job to explaining what the learning process will look like given the goals I shared. Next class is tomorrow!
