Hi, my name is Robert, I was born in Mexico
and raised in the United States of America. I went to school in Odessa Texas and graduated from Permian High School in 2004 and just recently got TESOL certified as of 01/2020. I am a native American speaking Texan and also native in the Spanish language. I currently live in Mexico. My experience in tutoring English goes back to High school, where for some reason, although I was already a native speaker, they kept putting me in Esl classes. This allowed me to help the students around me with their English exams, grammar, reading writing and even speaking the language.Me as a Teacher
I like to focus on English lessons that are interesting to my students, making them feel comfortable so they get more involved in the subject. One thing that I've always believed in, is practice makes perfect, that all though you may not be where you want to be, your continuous effort will eventually bring you closer to reach your goals.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is to focus on your weaknesses. I know that's uncomfortable, but as time goes by, you'll see that the progress will be worth it. After all, we are here to learn. Robert is an absolutely wonderful teacher! He tutored me all summer, over 15 lessons, helping me to learn the Spanish language. He was always patient, kind, upbeat, and funny! He was very flexible with different ideas or suggestions on how to spend our lesson time and always happy to answer my questions when I didn't know something. I would absolutely recommend Robert's teaching for anyone interested in learning a new language!

I just had a three week trip to Mexico and for the first time I wasn’t afraid to try to speak Spanish with those around me. It was a wonderful experience and I give full credit to Roberto for making me at ease. I can’t wait to learn more.
